London BP Offers cheap gas

LONDON, Ohio (WCMH)- You won’t find gas cheaper than this anywhere.

London residents woke up Friday to find gas prices as low as $1.89.

The owner of the London BP says that was the cheapest gas they’ve offered at this store in nearly a decade.

Kamal Singh says there is a gas price war going on with about 6 or 7 other gas stations but he won’t point out who started it.

NBC4 asked how low he is willing to go?

“I have no idea. Maybe 10 cents more 20 cents more. If it keeps dropping I have to match that price, ” Singh said.

The keyword “match” not beat.

Even though it’s a price war, Singh said he is not trying to drastically drop the price but that he is trying to stay level with his competitors.

According to Singh his store is losing about 37 cents because the gas price is so low.

He hopes the price will go up soon and said he checks every two hours to see if the competition has budged.
