This GD3200 Fireplace Safety Alert is related to propane models only. If your GD3200 operates with natural gas, it is not affected and there is no need for any concern.
These GD3200-P propane models were sold between 1992 and 2002 with either flat or bay window glass front.
To determine if your Napoleon Gas Fireplace is the model GD3200-P affected by this Safety Alert, please check the rating plate located behind the lower louvred access door as illustrated in the photographs below.
While we are only aware of one single incident, out of concern for our Customers’ welfare and safety, we ask that you discontinue using your GD3200-P immediately and contact your local Authorized Napoleon Fireplace Dealer to arrange for a free upgrade kit to be installed on your fireplace.
